Mrs. Bernice B. Agudu is a customer focused Chartered Accountant and a Finance Professional with over twenty (20) years’ work experience in Finance functional areas with multinational companies across Africa. Her main areas of expertise are Finance Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial/Corporate/Group Reporting, Internal Controls & Compliance, Treasury Management, Account Payable & Receivable and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.
Mrs. Bernice Agudu holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA, Finance) from the University of Ghana Business School. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana. Bernice also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting from the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand
Mrs. Agudu has been the Director of Finance with the University of Ghana since January 2021. Prior to her joining University of Ghana, she has previously worked with multinational companies namely Cummins Ghana Limited and Shell Oil Products in Africa in various capacities. Beginning August 2013, she was the Finance Manager for Cummins Ghana Ltd, from where she moved on to become the West Africa Regional Finance Controller for Cummins in Africa in July 2017, a position she held until her departure in January 2019.
Bernice spent fifteen years, six months with Shell Oil Products in Africa (Ghana and South Africa). Whilst at Shell, she held various positions such as Africa OPEX Manager, Finance Business Process Implementer, Africa Planning & Performance Analyst, Treasurer, West Africa Hub Management Accountant, and Assistant Management Accountant.
Mrs. Agudu was a Company Director while with Cummins Ghana. Currently, she is an Independent Trustee for Micheletti & Co Ltd Staff Occupational Pension Scheme.
Bernice is married and has a daughter
