Mr. Yawo Nutifafa Agbesi is an accomplished executive and visionary leader with a wealth of experience in leading and growing successful organizations. As the Chief Executive Officer, Yawo is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing operations, and driving overall business performance.
With over 18 years of experience in senior-level positions within multinational environments, Yawo has made remarkable contributions to the organizations he has served. He has held positions such as Regional Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager, and Head of Corporate Energy at UBA Ghana Limited and Merchant Bank (now Universal Merchant Bank). During his tenure at UBA, he successfully brokered groundbreaking oil and gas transactions worth over USD 2 billion for major bulk distribution companies, including Tema Oil Refinery.
Additionally, Yawo has held the role of Director of Structured Trade, Development, and Marketing at Inter Afrique Capital (IAC), a boutique company representing BNP Paribas in Ghana for over 20 years. In this capacity, he oversaw significant projects such as the Kwame Circle Overpass and facilitated structured trade transactions worth over $3 billion for various statutory companies, including VRA and BOST. His diverse experience includes attending training programs both locally and internationally, including a project finance training and attachment program with CommerzBank in Germany.
One of Yawo’s key strengths is his effective communication and collaborative skills, which enable him to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams. He thrives in dynamic environments that foster creativity and innovation, and he takes pleasure in mentoring junior staff members to help them reach their full potential.
Yawo’s extensive experience is complemented by his instrumental skills in business development, change management, contract negotiations, marketing strategy, client development, management consultancy, communication, risk monitoring, operations management, and strategic account management.
In addition to his professional achievements, Yawo Nutifafa Agbesi holds an LLB law degree from the University of Ghana, a Master in Business Administration from Hull University in the UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Administration (Finance and Economics) from the University of Ghana. These educational achievements further enhance his ability to navigate complex business landscapes and make informed strategic decisions.
