Internal Auditor
Fidel Nunoofio is the Internal Auditor of the University of Ghana Enterprises Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with Mathematics as well as a Master of Science Degree in Development Finance all from the University of Ghana.
Fidel is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, and has professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, and Institute of Internal Auditors, Ghana, as well as an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana.
He has experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, and finance in both the private and public sectors. Its key skill set of Fidel covers audit and compliance, credit monitoring, internal control, and risk management, the foundation pillars of sound financial administration. The work of Fidel has evolved over the years from oversight of institutional adherence to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within an increasingly complex structure for financial stability.
Fidel has a special interest in audit and financial crime compliance. He was a member of the National Risk Assessment on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing program organized under the auspices of the Financial Intelligence Centre, Bank of Ghana, Inter-governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa, and the World Bank.
Starting in credit administration as a credit executive, facilities appraisal, and credit review and reporting, he has progressed into internal control, audit, and financial management up to the senior position he now holds in audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
