Finance Manager
Richard is the Head of Finance of UGEL, having joined the Company in 2009. He has over 10 years’ experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on Hostel finance and facility Management. Richard is a results-driven accounting and finance professional with extensive expertise in budget, performance measurement, financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning. He excels at optimizing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving cost-saving initiatives that improves profitability of the company. He has successfully led financial strategies, improved cash flow, and introduced new revenue streams.
Richard holds a Chartered Accountant certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) and an MBA in Accounting & Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Additionally, he earned a BSc in Accounting from the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS).
As Chairman of the University of Ghana Credit Union Loans Committee, he actively contributes to institutional financial initiatives that has made the institution the best asset-based credit union in Ghana. Outside of work, he enjoys team-building activities, football, and organising children’s events.
